About Kirra

BA (Hons), M. Psych (Clinical)

I am a registered clinical psychologist with perinatal infant mental health training. I have experience in both private practice and leadership in community youth mental health settings. I welcome referrals for a range of presentations, including perinatal mental health, anxiety, depression, complex/interpersonal trauma, family of origin difficulties, and relationship issues. Much of my work is focused on life transitions such as pregnancy and adjustment to parenthood, navigating adolescence with your young person, perimenopause, and grief and loss.

Outside of my practice life, I am mum to an almost 30-year-old and a grandma to four feline grandbabies. I’m a keen cook (though not a great baker!) and enjoy Pilates and a true crime binge.

My Approach

My therapy style is collaborative, warm, and non-judgemental. I tailor my approach to each individual’s needs and goals, which may include identifying schemas, needs, thought patterns, and behaviours; discovery of hopes and values; gently exploring attachment and relationships; or creating a safe space to process emotions when this feels helpful. Regardless of the approach or the challenges you are facing, I prioritise building a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship as the foundation for our work together.
